Exercising on a Busy Schedule
If you keep finding excuses not to exercise simply because you have an incredibly busy schedule, then you need an attitude change. You can still get some exercise no matter how swamped you may be at work or at home by simply recognising the many opportunities for working out that you can find in a typical day. Then, once you have identified these opportunities, make use of them and start exercising your way to better health and fitness.
So, if you normally drive a car or take the tube to work, make a change to your routine by walking or biking to the office instead. If doing these activities would take a longer time than your usual trip and cause you to risk being late for work, plan things out in advance. For example, you can pack your briefcase and prepare your work clothes on the night before. You can also leave your work clothes in the office so you can just change into them once you get there. If you do not wish to go to all this trouble, then you can simply get off the tube or bus a few blocks away from your office and walk the rest of the way. You can also choose to use the stairs instead of the elevator to get to your floor.
Furthermore, you can use your lunch breaks to stretch and do a few exercises instead of just sitting on your chair. Go for a short walk or climb up and down the stairs of your office. Then, when you get home at the end of the day, do some household chores like mowing the lawn or raking the leaves in your backyard. You would not just be working out; you would also be doing tasks that you need to accomplish anyway.
